Sam Adams Rebel IPA Gains Traction in Craft Beer Section
Last year, Samuel Adams released the Rebel IPA — packaged and flavored to break from the company’s passé image and attract the funky, off beat craft beer market.
Samuel Adams has followed up that release with this year’s new Rebel Rider Session IPA. The packaging looks almost the same, except the IPA is red and the Session IPA is blue. So what is the difference?
For IPA lovers the sessions can be somewhat controversial. Kevin Gibson explores the brouhaha while sampling the Rebel Session. Less malts lead to a fainter color, but with just as many hops, including Citra, Topaz, Cascade, you can still count on the taste.
